MEETING WITH THE FAO COORDINATOR IN UKRAINE WITHIN THE PROJECT "PROMOTION OF PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF THE UKRAINIAN SYSTEM OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES"

On February 10, 2003, a meeting was held with the FAO coordinator in Ukraine, Tetiana Bryvko, and Svitlana Andriienko within the Project "Promotion of Preservation and Restoration of the Ukrainian System of Plant Genetic Resources" in wartime. Acting Director of the Institute, Nataliia Kuzmyshina; Deputy Director for Research on Plant Genetic Resources, Viktor Riabchun; Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Introduction and Storage of Plant Genetic Resources, Mykyta Skorokhodov, and Chief Accountant, Tetiana Bilokobylska participated in the discussion. There were also representatives of the "MIST" charity organization. Issues such as long-term storage of the collections of the Gene Bank of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS and their systematization were covered.
