MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL OF THE PLANT PRODUCTION INSTITUTE NAMED AFTER V.YA. YURIEV OF NAAS
On June 15, 2023, under the chairmanship of NAAS Academician Kyrychenko V.V., a meeting of the Academic Council of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS was held. At the meeting, problematic issues of the Institute's scientific activities and research personnel’s training were discussed. Ways to improve the quality of cereal breeding based on results of trials of wheat, triticale, and rye varieties in 2022 were discussed. The need to enhance the responsibility for winter rye hybrid breeding was emphasized. The list and estimated prices for seeds of winter crop varieties proposed for sale in 2023 were approved. The educational and scientific program for post-graduate students in specialty 201 "Agronomy" was considered and approved. The results of the 2nd International Conference "Stress and Adaptation of Plants" dedicated to the 125th anniversary of F.P. Matskov’s birth, which took place on June 7-8, 2023, were covered. The plans for preparation of scientific and practical events by the Institution in 2023 were discussed.
