MEETING OF THE PRESIDIUM OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRARIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

On December 13, 2021, Liubov Nykyforivna Kobyzieva, Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of NAAS, participated in the meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, which was held in the Great Hall of the Academy (Kyiv), giving a talk “Efficiency of the Activities of Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS". A member of the NAAS Presidium, NAAS Academician Viktor Vasyliovych Kyrychenko participated online in the NAAS Presidium meeting.

The meeting was chaired by the NAAS President, Academician Hadzalo Yaroslav Mykhailovych. After the opening, the NAAS President, Ya.M. Hadzalo, presented a Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Director of the Institute, L.N. Kobyzieva, for services to the Ukrainian people; the Diploma was given to the personnel of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS.

In her talk, the Director L.N. Kobyzieva presented the trends and results of the Institute's activities for the last five years: conduction of fundamental and applied investigations, functioning of the Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine, coordination of work on plant genetic resources and sunflower breeding, training of highly qualified personnel, implementation of innovations in crop production, and work of the Eastern Interregional Center of NAAS. As a result of the discussion, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, the NAAS Presidium made a decision aimed at improving the Institute’s activities.
