Meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council on Scientific Research Program 26 "Adaptive Potential of Oilseed Crops under Climate Transformation (Oilseed Crops)"

On July 8, 2026, the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS hosted an online meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council on Scientific Research Program (SRP) 26 "Adaptive Potential of Oilseed Crops under Climate Transformation" ("Oilseed Crops"), Subprogram 1: "Realization of Adaptive Potential of Sunflower under Climate Transformations."

The meeting was attended by project heads and principal investigators representing seven co-executing scientific institutions.

Participants reviewed the report "Tasks of Sunflower Breeding and Seed Production under Global Climate Transformations," presented by NAAS Academician Viktor Kyrychenko (Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Head of SRP 26, and Head of the Department of Novel Breeding and Seed-Production Technologies and Cultivar Investigation at the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS).

The Council evaluated the progress of work schedules and research programs for the first half of 2026. A total of 11 project progress reports were presented, including 5 fundamental and 6 applied research projects. The work plans for the first and second quarters were fully completed, and the reports were approved. The performance of the Coordination and Methodological Council was deemed satisfactory.
