MEETING OF THE COORDINATION AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL ON SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 17 "FORMATION AND USE OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCE BANK" (PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES)

On April 2, 2024, an online meeting of the Coordination and Methodical Council was held to review and approve work programs within SP 17 "Formation and Use of Plant Genetic Resources Bank" (Plant genetic resources) for 2024.

At the meeting, V. K. Riabchun, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Deputy Director for Research on Plant Genetic Resources, gave a talk "State of the Plant Genetic Resource System of Ukraine and the National Plant Gene Bank of Ukraine at the beginning of 2024".

N.V. Kuzmyshyna, Head of the Laboratory of Introduction and Preservation of Plant Genetic Resources, analyzed the activities of institutions-co-contractors of projects within subprogram 01 "Genetic Resources of Agricultural Crops" and L.S. Yuryk, Acting deputy Director for Research of the Research Station of Pomology Named After L.P.Symyrenko of the Institute of Horticulture of NAAS reported on the implementation of the work programs within subprogram 02 "Expansion and Preservation of the Genetic Diversity of Fruit, Berry, Nut, and Decorative Crops".
