MEETING OF THE COORDINATION AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL ON SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 17 "FORMATION AND USE OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCE BANK" (PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES)

On November 21, 2023, an online meeting of the Coordination and Methodical Council of Scientific Program (SP) 17 "Formation and Use of Plant Genetic Resource Bank" (Plant Genetic Resources) was held at the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS. Supervisors and responsible executors of the projects within SP 17 "Plant Genetic Resources" from 26 research institutions of NAAS were present, a total of 43 participants.

At the meeting, Kuzmyshyna Nataliia Vasylivna, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Introduction and Preservation of Plant Genetic Resources, gave a talk "Strategy for Development and Needs of Institutions of the Plant Genetic Resource Network of Ukraine for the Present and Immediate Future". The head of SP 17 "Plant Genetic Resources", Riabchun Viktor Kuzmovych, Candidate of Biological Sciences, provided information on the activities of co-executive institutions of SP 17. The supervisors of applied studies reported major results on the formation and use of collections. Attention was focused on the introduction and selection of sources of valuable features. Research results will be published in professional editions.
