MEETING OF THE COORDINATION AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL ON RESEARCH PROGRAM 16 "SUNFLOWER: BASICS OF PRODUCTION PROCESS MANAGEMENT"

On July 9, 2024, an online meeting of the Coordinating and Methodological Council of Scientific Program (SP) 16 "Sunflower: Basics of Production Process Management" of NAAS was held at the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS. Supervisors and responsible executors of the projects within SP 16 from 8 research institutions of NAAS were present, a total of 15 participants. The SP head, NAAS Academician Viktor Kyrychenko opened the meeting. Khrystyna Levytska (PhD, Institute of Oil Crops of NAAS) gave the talk "Manifestations of Septoria Leaf Spot on Sunflower in the South of Ukraine". The meeting participants considered the performance of the work programs and calendar plans in the first half of 2024. Eleven reports were discussed and approved: 3 of fundamental projects and 8 of applied ones.

The condition of fields and the influence of global transformations on the sunflower crop in various pedo-climatic conditions of Ukraine were discussed; the need for research on the fulfillment of the sunflower's adaptive potential under climatic changes was emphasized.
