MEETING OF THE COORDINATION AND METHODOLOGICAL COUNCIL ON RESEARCH PROGRAM 16 "SUNFLOWER: BASICS OF PRODUCTION PROCESS MANAGEMENT"

On March 29, 2023, an online meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council on Research Program 16 of NAAS "Sunflower: Basics of Production Process Management" was held (the main institution is the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS). Supervisors and responsible executors of the Program projects from seven research institutions of NAAS were present; the total number of participants was 12. The meeting was opened by the Program supervisor, NAAS academician, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Viktor Vasyliovych Kyrychenko. The participants of the meeting discussed, clarified and approved work plans for 2023: 14 in total, 3 of them are for fundamental studies and 11 – for applied ones. The research lines within the Program for 2024-2025 were highlighted, in particular, enrichment of sunflower genetic resources, crop programming under climatic changes, work with an updated composition of biologicals and growth-activating compounds, and, in accordance with the European Green Course, development of studies aimed at reorientation of the agricultural sector to environmentally-friendly agro-food production and smart farming.
