GENERAL MEETING OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRARIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

On April 24, 2025, NAAS Academician Kyrychenko V.V. and delegates from the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS took part in the general meeting of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, which was held at the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine. The meeting was opened by the President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Hadzalo Ya.M. The Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Koshechko V.H. and the Rector of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management Trachuk V.A. delivered welcoming speeches.

At the meeting, the NAAS President, Academician Hadzalo Ya.M. gave a talk “On Results of Activities of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in 2024 and Major Objectives for the Future” and the First NAAS Vice-President, Academician I.V. Hrynyk gave a talk “On Financial Support and Use of Funds in 2024 in the Network of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine”. NAAS Academicians Baliuk S.A., Lupenko Yu.O., Bykin A.V., Dziubetskyi B.V., and Kyrychenko V.V., NAAS Corresponding Members Khomichak L.M. and Palii A.P. participated in the discussion.

The general meeting of NAAS recognized the results of the NAAS’ scientific and technical activities as satisfactory. The priority tasks for the NAAS research institutions were defined. The tasks are aimed at following research mainstreams and obtaining globally competitive scientific and technical products, ready for introduction in the agrarian sector of our country and beyond.

The general meeting of NAAS adopted the Resolution “On Results of Activities of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in 2024 and Major Objectives for the Future” and the Address of the general meeting of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

In the second half of the meeting, full members (academicians) and corresponding members of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine were elected.
