GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF AGRARIAN SCIENCES OF UKRAINE

On April 28, 2023, NAAS Academician V.V. Kyrychenko and delegates from the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS, Kuzmyshyna N.V., Acting Director of the Institute; V.P. Kolomatska, Deputy Director for Research; V.K. Riabchun, Deputy Director for Research on Plant Genetic Resources, O.Yu. Leonov, Head of the Wheat Breeding Laboratory participated in the meeting of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Agrarian of Sciences of Ukraine, which was held at the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine.

At the meeting, NAAS President, Academician Hadzalo Ya.M. gave a talk "About Results of Activities of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in 2022 and Major Tasks for the Future" and the first vice-president of NAAS, Academician Hladii M.V. gave a talk "On Financial Provision and Use of Funds in 2022 in the System of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine." NAAS Academicians Kyrychenko V.V., Vozhehova R.A., Baliuk S.A., Nikolaienko S.M., and Stehnii B.T. and NAAS Corresponding Members Cherchel V.Yu. and Sokolov V.M. took part in the discussion.

The General Assembly of NAAS approved a draft Resolution in which the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities of NAAS were recognized as satisfactory, and objectives aimed at increasing the effectiveness and complexity of fundamental and applied and research projects to obtain competitive scientific and scientific-technical products of global level were defined.

In the second half of the meeting, the elections of full members (academicians) and corresponding members of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine took place; in addition, approval of academicians-secretaries of the Department of Animal Husbandry and the Department of Agrarian Economy and Food was done.
