Field Meeting of the Methodical Commission of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev for Acceptance of Field Experiments on Late Spring Crops

On July 7, 2021, the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS hosted a field meeting of the Methodological Commission for acceptance of field experiments in breeding and genetic resources, seed production and cultivation technologies of sunflower, corn, millet, soybean and other rare crops. The experiments were laid out in agreement with the work programs of fundamental and applied studies of the Institute as well as individual plans of post-graduate students.

Supervisors of the studies and post-graduate students reported the purpose, objectives, methods and conditions of the experiments to the members of the Methodological Commission. There was an active scientific discussion; methodical issues of planning and carrying out field experiments were discussed; problem points were anatomized and ways for their solving were outlined.

The Methodical Commission recommended accepting the field experiments of the scientific departments of the Institute and post-graduate students and gave recommendations for improving the quality of their conduction.
