Condition of winter crops in the Kharkivska Oblast as of April 8, 2021
Scientists of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS guided by Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Riabchun Nataliia Ivanivna surveyed plants sampled from winter crop fields.
Spring vegetation in the southern regions of the Oblast began on March 28-30. As of April 8, 2021, most winter wheat fields in the Oblast were in satisfactory or in good condition, although plants in most fields had not tillered since autumn. Plants formed the second shoot and new nodal roots, indicating their viability.
