"PROJECTS AND THEIR MANAGEMENT. STRATEGY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES OF UKRAINE FOR 2024-2028 – THE BASIS FOR PROJECTS"

From November 14 to 17, 2023, staffers of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS (Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Wheat Breeding Usova Zoia Vasylivna, Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Genetic Resources of Cereals and Grain Legumes Solonechna Olha Volodymyrivna, Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Plant Immunity and Grain Quality Bilynska Olena Volodymyrivna, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry Oleksandr Ihorevych Kokorev) and Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS (Acting Deputy Director for Science, Head of the Laboratory of Grain Legumes, Cereals, Groats Crops, and Corn Oleh Volodymyrovych Tryhub, Academic Secretary Sylenko Serhii Ivanovych, Researcher Kholod Svitlana Mykolaivna) participated in a training for staffers of the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "PROJECTS AND THEIR MANAGEMENT. STRATEGY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES OF UKRAINE FOR 2024-2028 – THE BASIS FOR PROJECTS".

The training was organized by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and was held in Kyiv. During the training, the participants got acquainted with the main provisions of the Strategy for the Development of the Plant Genetic Resources System of Ukraine for 2024-2028, which is part of the FAO project "PROMOTION OF PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF THE UKRAINIAN SYSTEM OF PLANT GENETIC RESOURCES", and with peculiarities of project preparation, their effective implementation, as well as reporting to and coordination with donor organizations.
