International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists: "Theoretical Foundations of Innovative Development of Crop Production"
On October 20, 2025, the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS hosted the International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists titled "Theoretical Foundations of Innovative Development of Crop Production." The event was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Professor Illia Mykhailovych Poliakov, a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.
The conference was opened by the Acting Director of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences O. Leonov, who delivered a welcoming address and a keynote report.
The conference brought together 119 scientists from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, France, and China. They presented research results across six thematic areas: novel technologies in plant production, genetics and breeding of agricultural plants, plant genetic resources, physiology, biochemistry, and biotechnology of agricultural plants, plant adaptability under climate change (multidisciplinary aspects), and plant protection and quarantine
The conference featured presentations by young scientists from various NAAS research institutions and Ukrainian higher education institutions, including the Yuriev Plant Production Institute, the Institute of Horticulture, the L.P. Symyrenko Pomology Experimental Station of the Institute of Horticulture, and V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
Following the conference, a digital collection of proceedings was published, containing 53 abstracts.
