INTERNATIONAL WORKING MEETING ON WORK ISSUES OF THE NATIONAL GENEBANK OF UKRAINE IN WARTIME

On June 2, 2022, an international working meeting (on-line) was held to discuss on work issues of the National GeneBank of Ukraine in wartime; the meeting was organized by the FAO.

Representatives of the FAO and International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources, the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine (NCPGRU), and Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production of the Plant Production Institute named after VYa Yuriev of NAAS participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, organization of the NCPGRU functioning in wartime, material and technical provision of studies, storage of seeds, and scientific information were discussed.

Based on the discussion results, a decision was made to monitor problematic issues of the NCPGRU’s activities and to seek for international support for their solving.
