International scientific and practical conference "Current technological aspects of grain production and processing of agricultural products"

On March 20-21, 2024, employees of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS (Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Leonov O.Yu., Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Riabchun N.I., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Usova Z.V., Candidate of Biological Sciences Suvorova K.Yu.) participated in the online International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Technological Aspects of Grain Production and Processing of Agricultural Products" dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the birthday of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor HRYHORYI RODIONOVYCH PIKUSH, which was held at the SE "Institute of Grain Crops" of NAAS of Ukraine".

At the conference, Head of the department, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Solodushko M.M. gave a talk "Life Path in Science - Achievements and Recognition." H.R. PIKUSH's daughter, his colleagues, and students, including Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Nataliia Ivanivna Riabchun, Chief Researcher of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute imparted memories of H.R. PIKUSH. In subsequent talks, scientists of SE "Institute of Grain Crops" presented scientific results on the latest technologies for growing grain crops, issues of formation and ways to improve grain quality indicators, resistance of new promising winter wheat varieties to pests and diseases in the northern steppe of Ukraine. The scientific talks and discussion showed Doctor of Agricultural Sciences H.R. PIKUSH's research is further developed and implemented in the agriculture of independent Ukraine.
