International Scientific-Practical Conference "Current Problems of Agricultural Production and Ways to their Solving"

On July 1, 2021, the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS started the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Problems of Agricultural Production and Ways to their Solving" with the participation of scientists from Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, Poland and the United States.

Representatives of 20 research institutions and 12 experimental stations of NAAS, four universities of Ukraine, two research institutes of the Republic of Moldova, one research institute of the Republic of Belarus and one scientific institution of the People's Republic of China attended the Conference.

An abstract book comprising 95 abstracts was published.

The online Conference was opened by Director of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, NAAS Corresponding Member Kobyzieva Liubov Nykyforivna. Welcoming remarks were made by the Vice-President of NAAS, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, NAAS Academician Roik Mykola Volodymyrovych and Head of a unit of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Fedyshyna Oksana Serhiivna.

The talks were grouped as follows: novel technologies in plant production, modern advances in breeding and seed production, plant genetic resources, genetics, biochemistry and biotechnology of field crops, adaptability to bio- and abiotic factors.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference was very useful for the exchange of scientific results; the participants communicated on professional issues and exchanged their experience.
