International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "State-of-the-Art Technologies in Plant Production"
On November 27-28, 2024, the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS hosted the International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "State-of-the-Art Technologies in Plant Production" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian plant scientist Rozhestvenskyi Borys Mykolaiovych.
At the opening of the Conference, the Acting Director of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, O.Yu. Leonov, delivered a welcoming speech and gave a talk.
One hundred and fifty-nine scientists from Ukraine, Canada and Sweden participated in the Conference. They presented the results in six themes: Latest technologies in plant production; Current achievements and innovative methods in breeding and seed production; Plant genetic resources; Plant physiology, biochemistry and biotechnology; Adaptability of field crops to biotic and abiotic factors under climatic changes; Protection and quarantine of plants.
At the conference, there were 9 talks from NAAS institutions (Yuriev Plant production Institute, Kharkiv; State Institute of Grain Crops, Dnipro; Institute of Oil Crops of NAAS, Zaporizhzhia), 4 talks from universities of Ukraine (State Biotechnological University, Kharkiv; Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, Vinnytsia), and 1 talk by A. Diederichsen (Canada), the leading curator of Plant Gene Resources of Canada.
An electronic book containing 68 conference abstracts by 159 participants from three countries worldwide was published. Ukraine was represented by 153 participants who wrote 65 abstracts. Two abstracts were sent by 5 participants from Canada. One joint abstract was presented by authors from Ukraine and Sweden.
