EXCURSION FOR STUDENTS OF HOUSING AND COMMUNAL PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE OF O.M. BEKETOV KHARKIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF URBAN ECONOMY

On June 15, 2023, scientists of the Plant Production Institute named after VYa Yuriev conducted an excursion for the 2nd year students of the "Agronomy" specialty of the Housing and Communal Professional College of O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy. The students visited the Institute during their practice in botany under the guidance of biology teachers V.M. Bondarenko and Senina I.L.

Candidate of Historical Sciences, V.M. Ozherelieva, introduced the students and their teachers to the history of the Institute and National Center for Plant Genetic Resources and their activities. The students visited the National Depository of Plant Genetic Resources, where a junior researcher, T.P. Shyianova, told about peculiarities of seeds of various crops and importance of their storage for future generations.
