Remote meeting of the Food Security Section of the Regional Scientific Coordination Board

 On March 18, Director of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS Kobyzieva Liubov Nykyforivna, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences took part in a remote meeting of the Food Security Section of the Regional Scientific Coordination Board addressed the food safety and quality issues.

 Rector of Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade O.I. Cherevko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor made an introductory speech at the meeting. Head of the Chair of Microbiology and Nutrition Hygiene of Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade Yevlash V.V., Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor gave a talk "Food Safety and Quality in the Kharkiv Oblast: Ways to Improve the Control and Information System for the Population." Rector of Petro Vasylenko KhNTUA Nanka O.V., Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor; Rector of KhNAU O.V. Ulianchenko, Doctor of Economical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of NAAS of Ukraine; President of the Kharkiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Zverev V.O.; Director of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS Kobyzieva L.N., Doctor of Agricultural Sciences; Director of Ukranian Research Institute of Vegetable Oils and Fats Petik P.F., Candidate of Technical Sciences; and Director of Terra Yasinskyi I.I. took part in the discussion of the issue.

 Basing on the discussion results, the participants made a decision concerning development of effective ways to improve the food quality, its control system, to provide raw materials for healthy food production, to increase the efficiency of organic farming, to inform the population about adequate safe nutrition and to popularize it.
