Field Day "Varietal Resources and Technological Innovations"

On June 30, 2026, Valeriia Kolomatska, Director of the Institute, alongside laboratory heads Dr. Dmytro Yehorov, Dr. Oleh Leonov, Dr. Pavlo Solonechnyi, and Dr. Serhii Chernobai, took part in the Field Day "Varietal Resources and Technological Innovations," held at the Exhibition and Innovation Center of NAAS (Salyvonkivske State Enterprise and Experimental Farm of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet).

The event was attended by directors and research staff from NAAS scientific institutions, specialists from state experimental farms, and agricultural producers representing diverse ownership structures.

During the Field Day, participants inspected demonstration plots where NAAS research institutions presented their latest breeding achievements in winter and spring cereal crops (wheat, barley, triticale, rye, and oats). Promising varieties of medicinal plants and potatoes were also exhibited. Participating breeders had the opportunity to compare their own developments with other research programs, connect with colleagues, and engage in direct dialogue with scientists and commercial growers. The event was rich in insightful scientific presentations and field observations.

In total, the Field Day brought together over 200 participants.
