FIELD DAY 2024

On June 12, 2024, Acting Director of the Institute, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Leonov Oleg Yuriiovych and Head of the Laboratory of Winter Rye Breeding and Genetics, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Yehorov Dmytro Kostiantynovych participated in the Field Day at Poltava State Agricultural Experimental Station named after M.I. Vavilov of the Institute of Pig Production and Agro-Industrial Production of NAАS.

During the event, the participants inspected demonstration sites of winter and spring crops. The sites of cereals demonstrated over 60 winter crop cultivars and hybrids and 30 spring crop cultivars bred by scientific institutions of Ukraine, in particular, Poltava State Agrarian University, Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, NSC "Institute of Agriculture" of NAAS, VM Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat, Plant Breeding and Genetic Institute - National Center of Seed and Cultivar Investigations.

Leonov O.Yu. and Yehorov D.K. presented the newest winter wheat and rye cultivars bred at the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS. The cereal cultivars of the Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS are competitive breeding innovations, which is confirmed by the results of their testing in different ecological zones of Ukraine. They are intensive or semi-intensive, boast high productivity and quality potentials, and are resistant to unfavorable biotic and abiotic factors of the environment.
