Field Day 2021 "Prospects for Integrated Use of Varietal Resources of Spiked Cereals"

On June 29, 2021, Director of the Institute, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, NAAS Corresponding Member Kobyzieva Liubov Nykyforivna, Head of the Laboratory of Winter Rye Breeding and Genetics, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Dmytro Kostiantynovych Yehorov and Head of the Laboratory of Barley Breeding and Genetics, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Pavlo Mykolaiovych Solonechnyi participated in the Field Day "Prospects of Integrated Use of Varietal Resources of Spiked Cereals", which took place at the Exhibition and Innovation Center of NAAS (Ksaverivka Druha village, Kyivska Oblast).

The event was organized by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and attended by representatives of research institutes of NAAS and agricultural enterprises.

Leading scientists-breeders of NAAS presented the latest varieties and hybrids of winter and spring cereals, provided information on their characteristics, peculiarities of seed production and elements of cultivation technologies. A significant assortment of cereal varieties adapted for cultivation in different ecological zones of Ukraine was noted.

The participants of the seminar had opportunities to assess the benefits and compare the level of achievements in winter and spring wheat, winter rye, winter and spring triticale, and spring barley breeding presented by the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS.
