International symposium “Seed Production in Times of Climate Change”
On March 9-11, 2021, Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Introduction and Preservation of Plant Genetic Resources of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev, Candidate of Biological Sciences Zadorozhna O.A. took part in the International Symposium "Seed Production in Times of Climate Change". The symposium was organized by breeders and plant growers and held online at Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (Leibniz-Institut für Pflanzengenetik und Kulturpflanzenforschung) (Hatersleben, Germany). The issues of current approaches to seed testing, effects of climatic changes on seed formation and production were considered. Zadorozhna OA gave a talk "Storage of Seeds of Different Wheat Species", analyzing the longevity of seeds of accessions belonging to different wheat species stored in the Gene Bank of Ukraine, depending on the climatic conditions of cultivation.
